Rory Gallagher

Composite Telecaster

This is a Telecaster made from Fender and non-Fender parts. The neck is Fender and the body looks like a custom made Ash or Alder body. The guitar is finished in a Cherry wood stain so the grain is still visible through it. There is also a matching Red perspex pickguard made for it as well. The pick ups are a P90 in the neck and what looks like a Di Marzio in the treble position. This guitar was used for a more Bluesy Fender style  sound, than that of his  Gibson Melody Makers. It is another visit into the many sounds of Rory Gallagher, although not a particularly famous guitar it is unique. It was made for what Rory wanted it to do.
